Conference Aims and Mission
KKIO is the prime software engineering polish conference series. Since 1999 it has been covering all topics of research and practice. It is organized under the auspices of the Polish Information Processing Society (Polskie Towarzystwo Informatyczne – PTI). The forthcoming edition is 19th in the row and will be organized in Rzeszów, the location of numerous software companies, large and small. This year’s focus has the motto:
“Research makes good praxis – praxis stimulates research”
The aim of KKIO 2017 is to stimulate research and to promote cooperation between science and industry, and also the polish governmental bodies. In particular, KKIO’17 will provide a forum for the presentation of research results, scientific challenges faced by the industry, scientific achievements that could address these problems. It will be also a platform to make contacts, initiate cooperation between researchers and engineers, and also draft national and international projects (e.g., Horizon 2020). This conference allows managerial staff from the industry, privet organizations and government bodies to widen their knowledge about software engineering to learn the latest achievements in software engineering research and praxis.
We invite researchers, PhD students, engineers and business representatives to submit papers concerning research, research&development, case-studies, education in software engineering, and application of software systems in industry. Papers can be written in English or optionally in Polish. In addition, we are open for proposals of special sessions and workshops, discussion panels and tutorials.
Accepted papers have been published in a dedicated volume of Studies in Computational Intelligence, Springer: Towards a Synergistic Combination of Research and Practice in Software Engineering The books of this series are submitted by Springer to WoS, EI-Compendex, DBLP, SCOPUS, Google Scholar and Springerlink (this provides 15 points according to MNiSW). Authors of the best papers will be invited to submit revised and extended versions of their submissions to high profile journals. |
