Presentation: Board Programming: To Empower End-Users and to Relieve Developers
As the shortage of professional developers is growing, end-user programming is becoming more and more interesting. However, existing programming paradigms and the languages based on them seem far away from what end-user programmers would need, especially in the area of Management Information Systems.
During the invited talk the paradigm of Board Programming will be presented including results of early experiments aimed at investigating its understandability. Moreover, some open issues and future research will be addressed.

Presentation: Software engineering – problems and challenges
Seventy years of computer science in Polish and twenty years of the KKIO conference encourage us to reflect on what computer science is and, in particular, what software engineering is like. The understanding of software engineering as one of the disciplines of computer science is recalled. The main part of the lecture will be devoted to the discussion of paradigms, problems and perspectives of software engineering development.
