XVIII KKIO Software Engineering Conference
Conference Aims and Mission
KKIO is the prime conference series which since 1999 has been covering all topics of software engineering research and practice. It is organized under the auspices of the Polish Information Processing Society (PTI). Conference organized in 2016 is 18th in a row, and its mission is described by a motto:
“Better software = more efficient enterprise: challenges and solutions”
The aim of KKIO 2016 is to stimulate research and to promote cooperation between science, industry, and government. In particular, KKIO 2016 wants to be a forum for presenting problems and needs of the industry, scientific achievements that could address these problems, and a place to make contacts that may lead to jointly implemented, innovative projects realized within international or national programs (e.g., Horizon 2020). KKIO 2016 should also broaden knowledge among managerial staff members of industry organizations and government bodies about software engineering and the ability to apply the latest achievements in software engineering and software systems in their organizations.
We invite researchers, PhD students, and business representatives to submit papers concerning research, research and development, case-studies, education in software engineering, and application of software systems in industry. Papers can be written in English or in Polish. Additionally, we are open for proposals of special sessions/workshops as well as discussion panels, business/training workshops and tutorials.
Authors of the best papers will be invited to submit a revised and extended version of their papers for possible inclusion in a special issue of one of the following journals:
- a special issue of the International Journal of Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering (IF=0.362, 15 MNiSW). This journal is included in the List A of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (Republic of Poland). See: http://www.worldscientific.com/worldscinet/ijseke
- e-Informatica Software Engineering Journal (9 MNiSW points). See: http://www.e-informatyka.pl/wiki/e-Informatica
In 2016 the Conference will held in Wrocław – the European Capital of Culture.
