Workshop: Business process modeling methods

The purpose of this workshop is to present and discuss the most recent, innovative findings and experiences in the field of business modeling method practice.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Author’s research problems presentation
  • World business process modeling methods overview
  • A short introduction to BPMN
  • Case Study
  • Creation of business process model with Enterprise Architect tool
  • Requirements mapping, business rules, use cases on the process

Participants shall come to the workshop with laptop and installed Enterprise Architect tool (to be downloaded: https://sparxsystems.com/products/ea/trial/request.html.

Biography

Alicja Kołtonowska – My adventure with business models has started when I was working as a business modelling trainer at one of the Wrocław’s companies. Since several years I am involved in development of banking services. I work as a business and system analyst and also internal trainer (BPMN, UML). I am responsible for business process models, requirements development and ensuring that technical solution meets business needs. I specialize in sales systems and service-oriented architecture (SOA). I develop my interests in visual methods of describing business environment as a PhD candidate at the Department of Business Intelligence in Management at the Wrocław University of Economics. I am a member of the Requirements Engineering Association (http://siw.org.pl/).
